WA Policing Grants - Crime Prevention
The WA Police Grants Team invite incorporated not-for-profit organisations and Local Government Authorities to apply for funding to implement community crime prevention projects.
Applicants can apply for a maximum of $25,000 per project to implement projects that meet one of the below crime prevention priorities.
Crime Prevention Priorities
prevention and early intervention to address the needs of children and families
youth justice and reducing re-offending
preventing and responding to antisocial behaviour
addressing and reducing drug and alcohol related crime
targeting priority crimes in Western Australia as identified.
CCTV projects are no longer eligible under the Community Crime Prevention Fund. CCTV Funding will be available in a CCTV specific funding round, date yet to be confirmed.
Who is eligible to apply?
Incorporated not-for-profit organisations,
Aboriginal corporations registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006
Local Government Authorities.
Examples of projects that may be supported are:
Youth Education and Diversion Programs that target prolific and priority offenders and offenders
Youth mentoring programs
Holistic early intervention programs which engage the whole family
Domestic violence projects
Implementation of CCTV at crime hotspots
Graffiti prevention and reduction programs
Alcohol and drug education programs for at risk young people
Applications must be received by 12.00PM (MIDDAY) ON THURSDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2015
